Dining to Donate took place on Wednesday 11/08/23 at Five BJ’s Brewhouse locations: 
Fairlawn, North Olmsted, North Canton, Mentor and Orange Village.  Thanks to all of our Friends who participated.

On Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 11 am to 11 pm, 5 area BJs Restaurant/Brewhouse locations cooperated in our last Dine To Donate fundraiser.  BJs returned 20% of our dine-in, takeout or curbside orders to our organization!  The fundraiser netted $181.48 for FoCC.   Thanks to all who took time in a busy holiday season to participate. 

Ways & Means captain Chris Miller, blessed with the able assistance of our secretary Barb Hertrick, guided our previous venture into Dining For Dollars. Our venue was BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse at 3 area locations.  On Thursday October 28, 2021,  the Mentor area BJs participated.  One week later, Thursday, November 4, the Fairlawn and North Olmsted sites did their thing from 11:00 am to 11pm. Thanks to all who participated. 

With the assistance of Ways & Means committee member Janet Corey, FoCC is happy to note our successful Dining For Dollars event: Sunday, March 8, 2020. FoCC partnered once again with the Beachwood & the Fairlawn locations of CITY BARBEQUE where purchases made from these locations returned 25% to the FoCC! Our activity at the 2 locations earned us $321.22. Facebook donations added another $160, bringing the event total to $481.22!

This drive follows on the success of our two 2019 Dining For Dollars events. FoCC  Board Member Barb Hertrick, with a big assist from Kathy Prochnow, introduced a Dining For Dollars event as a fundraiser on March 2, 2019. Partnering with the Fairlawn and Beachwood locations of CITY BARBEQUE, we invited hungry Friends to share the love and the ‘que.  We are so grateful for all of you who opened your heart, your appetite, your wallet to support our inaugural drive. The two locations had a total of 1,517.88 in sales to those bearing our flyer. Our cut of 25% netted 379.47. In addition, our Friends who were not able to directly participate added another 175.00. This gave us a grand total of 554.47 for our fundraising efforts. Thanks, Friends!

   On Sunday, November 3, 2019, Ways & Means Committee Chair, Janet Corey, rolled out our 2nd Dining for Dollars event  through Chipotle’s.  At the Chipotle at 3890 Medina Rd., Suite A in Akron, Sunday November 3, 2019, from 4pm until 8pm we met the $300 purchase threshold and made $109. 63.
