Our Ten-Year Anniversary Celebration
May 28, 2022. A perfect day to celebrate our love of Camp Christopher and enjoy a hot dog or hamburger outside in the sunshine.
Camp Christopher and our FoCC partnered for this celebratory event held on Memorial Day Weekend’s Saturday. 200 guests mingled to count their blessings while enjoying a lunch cookout that preceded an afternoon of activities and good old camaraderie.
Focc President Jerry Antonucci with words of welcome.
FoCC President Jerry Antonucci was chief greeter that day, along with Camp Director Olivia Mackey. FoCC Board members and Camp staff ensured that our guests would have a wonderful time. Activities included beach and boating fun, fishing, crafts, hikes and plenty of time for Camp veterans to trade stories and greetings that had been hampered throughout the height of the Covid pandemic.
Our gathering ended, on this feast of the Ascension, with a Mass to honor those friends we’ve lost, especially in these pandemic years. Father Frank Basa was our celebrant. At the communion reflection, ten guests read names of 51 loved ones before releasing a group of butterflies. A fitting ending to a wonderful day.
